Welcome to the website of ITFC

Integrated Tamale Fruit Company is a Ghanaian based company in the agro-foresty industry.  ITFC has its head offices in Gushie, 45 Kilometres north of Tamale on the Bolgatanga trunk road in the Northern Region.  Incorporated in 1999, the main activities of ITFC are the cultivation of organic grafted mango, the nursing of seedlings and the promotion of indigenous species of trees.  The climate of the region is ideal for mango.  ITFC's nucleus farm and nursery is in the village of Dipale in Savelgu/ Nanton district.

In the intial stages, PSOM (SENTER) assisted ITFC with partial financing for the planting and irrigation of 155 hectares, nucleus farm, and 50 hectares of outgrowers.  Since the initial setup, ITFC has continued to expand its operations at a steady pace.  For the supply of healthy grafted mango seedlings, an ultra modern nursery was constructed in 2002. ITFChas also welcomed the addition of 400 outgrowers with the assistance of Cordaid of Holland in 2004 and begun to provide consultancy services to other development projects in the area that are dealing with agro-forestry.  In 2005, United Nations Development Program sponsored 100 outgrowers and the African Development Foundation sponsored 200 outgrowers.  The Ministry of Food and Agriculture, with support from the World Bank, has also provided the outgrowers with grant assistance. In 2004 ITFC teamed up with the Dutch city of Venlo (MPV) to form the Children To School Project (CTSP) to improve the educational facilities in the project area.
